Opportunity for a Marketing & Business Development Assistant to join RIS. Consultancy or permanent role, either from our Basildon or Burton on Trent offices, with some travel to the other locations.
Reporting to Senior Managers/Directors as part of the Marketing team, working with the Business Development, Marketing, Bids, Events & Client Development to support our marketing initiatives.
This role will suit a highly organised marketing & business development all-rounder, as you’ll be working across a diverse range of projects & campaigns. You will also collaborate with our Finance & HR teams, so you will have a collaborative approach.

Your Role
Business Development & Bids support
Producing first draft documents, proposals & pitch presentations to support winning new business.
Cold calling new & existing clients, updating process of calls.
Collating contact details from clients & updating the databases
Supporting our Bids team on formal bid opportunities including maintaining a library of precedent text for bids through our pitch management system.
Creating bid template structures reflecting the requirements & evaluation criteria.
Supporting the tracking & reporting of activity across sectors
Collating bid feedback, to identify themes.
Arranging face to face or TEAMS calls with new & existing clients.
Bring fresh & innovative marketing ideas.
Communications & events
Assisting the Events Manager & team, running virtual & hosted events, corporate hospitality & internal events
Support for marketing campaigns & communications, website content, email marketing updates & video/podcast recording.
Sourcing & obtaining merchandise.
Managing BD collateral (event stands & other physical assets)
Support with award submissions & attendance
